The opening of IDS’s new development at Glenhaven Avenue, took place on June 20th and celebrated the life of Thomas Kendrick in whose honour the building is named.
Helen Fry – Kendrick’s biographer – gave a thrilling account of the way his courage led to the saving of many lives in Austria under Nazi occupation. Her book Spymaster about Thomas Kendrick is a riveting read.
Hosted at the Restaurant Ananas provided the perfect setting with perfect weather, the day was made successful by such a diverse gathering of people. With new and old colleagues joining in the scheme opening.
